About the project

Las Escuchadoras is a digital research organization made by academics specialized in sociological and media studies that monitors and analyzes social media conversations about justice, inequality, and human rights in Latin America. Using digital tools along ethnographic insights, the team maps narratives and tracks emerging movements.

What they needed

A landing page designed to introduce the project, it's collaborators, and provide access to digital guides and resources.

After finishing the web design, they also needed a webmaster to keep the maintenance of the site and to update new content.

What I did

Starting from a limited set of initial assets, I expanded the visual identity into a cohesive system. This included developing a color palette from the existing logo and defining a consistent visual language across the project.

I continued to work with the project as a webmaster at the time of the website’s launch in May 2025 and have been in the role since.

Key Actions

  • Refining branding guidelines based on the material provided.

  • Design of a layout organizing content into a hierarchical system informed by the project's needs.

  • Implementation of the visual framework that drew from the project's symbolic language, leading to a more dynamic and fluid layout.

  • Adding animation and other graphic resources that brought a greater sense of flow to the site, making it more engaging.

  • Making a version of the site in portuguese.

The Result

A colorful and dynamic informative landing page that gathers key information about the organization, providing resources and introduces the founders and collaborators along their background and experience.
